You are cordially invited to join us in celebrating the opening of the expanded Gateway Project and first exhibition, Color Polemics: Unpacking the Movement Towards Racial Equality and Identity in America, Thursday, April 30th, 2015.

The Gateway Project Studios and Gallery is a physical hub for multidisciplinary arts. The three-level facility is split between a highly competitive and curated residency program, a project based gallery under the auspices of a 501c3 model, and rentable artist studio and work spaces. The gallery will have a roster of rotating exhibitions, programs and partnerships that offer an engaging and fruitful experience for all tenants. The gallery will also house exhibitions by the Gateway Residency Program, which fosters mid-career to established artists whose practices involve aspects of social engagement. The Gateway Project is the brainchild of Rebecca Jampol and Jasmine Wahi. These two organizations work in tandem to bring together programs and facilities in Gateway II, Newark, NJ.
