Last night, the Newark Public Library celebrated its 125th anniversary at the main branch at 5 Washington Street downtown Newark. The night saw many of Newark’s business leaders, politicians, and other notables and of course, The Newark Times was there to cover it all. The keynote speaker was Arianna Huffington of the Huffington Post Media Group and the library honored Newark native Mikki Taylor, Editor-In-Chief of Essence. All of the attendees received a copy of Ms. Huffington’s book Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder.
