The American Black Film Festival and New Jersey Performing Arts Center celebrate 25 years of the iconic film, HOUSE PARTY, which debuted in 1990 and is regarded by some as the first movie that introduced Hip-Hop to mainstream audiences, making Kid N’ Play superstars.

On Wednesday, June 10th at 7:30pm the House Party comes to stage, at NJPAC, with performances by Kid N’ Play (2 Hype, Ain’t Gonna Hurt Nobody), George Clinton (Atomic Dog, Do Fries Go With That Shake), Full Force (Ain’t My Type of Hype, Temporary Love Thing) along with special guest emcees House Party’s producer Warrington Hudlin and Bowlegged Lou. Relive some of the best scenes from this groundbreaking film that helped catapult Hip-Hop’s acceptance within mainstream America. More special guests to be added.
