Beginning last week, and every Tuesday for the Summer, the Dodge Poetry Festival is presenting Lunchtime Poems, A Summer Poetry Reading Series in Military Park.  The reading begins at 12:30pm and lasts for about an hour, making it an ideal option for people who work in the area to take in on their lunch break.

Yesterday, rapper, poet, and violinist J Read, poet Jessica Harris, and poet and artist Jerry Gant performed representing the Newark Voices.  Hosted by Newark poet and producer Starski, the reading presented the beauty and breadth of artistic expression in spoken word from authentic Newark Voices.

Next Tuesday, July 28th, the reading will feature Kundiman, poets from the organization dedicated to the creation and cultivation of Asian-American literature.
