Newark Regional Business Partnership hosted their annual Transportation Symposium and breakfast this morning at The Newark Club.  The theme of this year’s symposium was “Thinking Big” and The Newark Times was honored to attend.

After attendees mingled over breakfast, coffee, and business cards, the symposium began promptly at 8:30am.  Barbara Kauffman, Executive Vice President of NRBP welcomed the guests and representatives from transportation companies including New Jersey Transit, Amtrak, United Airlines, and Port Authority among a host of others.  The symposium speakers presented talks on the current scope of the northeast region’s transportation, including the rail systems, bridges, airports, and highways.  Big plans are in the works from Amtrak as well as Port Authority.
