The Newark Times sat down with soul singer Res while she was in Newark to talk about her favorite singers, favorite places to sing, and the importance of staying true to self as an artist.  Res performed live at the Lincoln Park Music Festival Jazzy Soul Series at SKYLAB, the rooftop lounge at Hotel Indigo.

Philadelphia born & raised, Res released her debut album, How I Do, in 2001. Performing crowd favorites like “Sittin’ Back” and “Tsunami” for her Jazzy Soul set accompanied by an acoustic guitar, Res kept the Newark audience grooving and ended the show with her rendition of the Black Coffee hit Superman.
