Ladies and gentlemen!  Boys and girls!  City sanitation workers!  This is your final warning!  Winter is coming!  Just in case you haven’t been paying rapt attention to the weather forecast, please take a pause and read these words carefully.  Meteorologists’ forecasts for winter 2014-2015 are reporting below average temperatures for the east and southeast regions of the country (that means us).  And we’re not talking about December/January.  We’re talking next week!  We’ll squeeze out what appear to be the last few 60° days this week.  But here’s a quick look at what the weekend temperatures are expected to look like as of this coming Friday.

Winter weather brings on a whole new list of living conditions, especially for us here in the northeast US.  Low temperatures, snow, sleet, hail, poor road conditions, flight delays and cancellations just to name a few.  But we can at least do our part to be prepared for it in advance.  That’s why The Newark Times will be paying very close attention to the weather conditions this winter season and sharing ideas and life hacks that may make the frigid weather a bit more bearable.
