The Newark parade supports schools and highlights March as “Music in Our Schools Month” through an annual musical arts marching band competition. This 81st Newark Saint Patrick’s Day Parade has also received the support of Newark Celebration 350 and is part of the official year-long programming.
The day’s program of events will begin with a morning mass at St. Patrick’s Pro-Cathedral at 91 Washington Street, and continue with a Parade Breakfast at Martini 494 Bistro.
The program will then move to Mulberry Street at Four Gateway Center for Reviewing Stand Ceremonies. By 1pm, the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will commence at Mulberry Street and Market Street.
