DJ Cassidy brought his electrifying “Pass The Mic Live!” concert back to Newark’s Prudential Center this past Saturday, May 11, delivering a sold-out show that celebrated a lineup of stars that changed music forever.
As showtime approached, DJ Cassidy was backstage making final preparations, the atmosphere charged with excitement and anticipation. A family vibe filled the air, and classic songs from the 70s, 80s, and 90s kept the arena grooving.
When the lights dimmed, the crowd erupted into cheers as DJ Cassidy took the stage with a wide grin, feeling the energy pulsating through the arena.
The “Pass The Mic” series, which started as a living room session, had evolved into a full-blown arena event, selling out its first show at Prudential Center.
The crowd showed their approval as the first artists took the stage. Method Man & Redman’s dynamic presence commanded attention as they performed “Da Rockwilder.” Faith Evans had the audience on their feet with “Love Like This,” her soulful voice resonating throughout the arena.
Bobby Brown brought the house down with “My Prerogative,” his electrifying performance filling the arena with energy. Total climaxed the night with their infectious hit “Can’t You See,” leaving the crowd wanting more. As the final notes faded away, DJ Cassidy returned to the stage.
TLC followed with their iconic hit “Waterfalls,” sending waves of nostalgia through the crowd. Boyz II Men closed the night with “End of the Road,” their soulful harmonies captivating the audience as they swayed and sang along, lost in the music.
