Remember back when young movers and shakers would regularly get together after a long day at work over dinner and drinks?  People from different walks, pursuing different careers coming together to talk about the latest developments in their lives, world news, politics, etc.  This guy was a doctor, that girl worked in government affairs, the newcomer was launching some media start-up, and the cute graphic designer kept giving you looks from across the table.  It seems so long ago, and yet it was only Monday.

That’s right.  It’s not as long ago as you’d think.  And it’s not just in New York, or Los Angeles, or London.  It’s right here in Newark.

I had the pleasure of joining in the fun as the crew descended on Nico, the swanky restaurant that specializes in Italian cuisine, adjacent to NJPAC

Brick City Supper Club has been going on for the past three or so years.  Some have come along and added to the group, while others have gone on to follow their pursuits in other cities.  Across the board, however, the group is very friendly and share a variety of perspectives and backgrounds.  Dinner (pardon me, Supper) is usually on Mondays at 7pm.

Stay in the loop with Brick City Supper Club by following them on Twitter and email them at brickcitysupperclub@gmail.com!  Rumor has it they’ll be at Mercato Tomato Pie next.
