Femme Curator Arts has announced that Down In The Ro,’ the Mayor’s Open Mic, will be part of the North 2 Shore Festival presented by Prudential. This year, ‘Down In The Ro’ features a brunch experience and open mic celebrating a variety of talents on June 30, 2024, at 12 PM at the renowned Tinjune Downtown restaurant in Newark.
Down In The Ro’ Open Mic Experience consistently showcases emerging artists and celebrates the diversity of the Newark community. Performers from various genres, including spoken word poets, musicians, and storytellers, share the stage in an atmosphere filled with creativity and vibrant energy.
The pre-brunch day party will feature sounds provided by MERK La Familia, an electronic dance music duo formed by Zimbabwean brothers Tee and Bic Will. The house band, VTX Studios, will serenade the audience with amazing live instrumentation.
Attendees are encouraged to dress to impress, as the event promises vibrant food, music, and vibes. The North 2 Shore Festival, sponsored by Prudential, fosters a sense of unity and pride within the community through the arts.
