Newark Public Library will host the signing event for the new book by Guy Sterling, The Famous, the Familiar, and the Forgotten: 350 Notable Newarkers, next Tuesday, February 10th at 6pm in the 4th floor Auditorium (5 Washington Street, Newark). Guy will make a presentation about some of the more remarkable residents of Newark from 1666 to the present, and answer questions; books will be available for purchase.
A longtime resident of Newark, Guy Sterling was a reporter with The Star-Ledger for nearly 30 years and a strong advocate for keeping the city’s rich history alive. Newark is not only one of the oldest city’s in the country’s history, but also a place that notable Americans from all walks of life have called home.
