Greater Newark LISC will host the 2015 New Jersey Neighborhood Achievement Awards on Thursday, November 5 at The Priory in Newark. The event recognizes individuals and organizations committed to revitalizing underserved neighborhoods. This year’s honorees were selected for their leadership in government, advocacy, philanthropy, and the creation of innovative partnerships and programs that make New Jersey’s urban neighborhoods safe and attractive places to live and do business.
The 2015 Neighborhood Achievement Awards will honor Keith Kinard of the Newark Housing Authority (Exemplary Municipal Government Partner), the Joseph C. Cornwall Center for Metropolitan Studies at Rutgers University-Newark (Exemplary Private Partner), Newark restaurant owner Vonda McPherson (Local Entrepreneur Award), Capital One Bank (Exemplary Private Partner) and Elliott D. Lee (Inspirational Community Advocate). More than 200 individuals are expected to attend.
