This morning, the Greater Newark Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted a breakfast at Nico Kitchen + Bar to celebrate the latest issue of Hemispheres Magazine, which featured Newark Public Library on its cover and was accompanied by a Three Perfect Days – Newark story and video. This was Newark’s first-ever cover story feature in United Airlines’ Hemispheres Magazine and onboard United in-flight videos.
With over thirteen million United Airlines passengers each month, Hemispheres Magazine has an 11.8+ million monthly reach, while the video is watched by 2+ million passengers. Elected officials, community stakeholders, and Newark influencers filled the restaurant to share in the celebration of Newark and each other.
The 3-part feature article highlighted Newark gems including Old First Church, T.M. Ward, Newark Riverfront Park, Dan’s Hats & Caps, the cherry blossoms at Branch Brook Park, Vonda’s Kitchen, Dutch’s at Tryp Hotel, and Jimenez Tobacco.

The feature article was bolstered by the video, Three Perfect Days: Newark, hosted by Chrissy Bright, Marcy DePina, and Kitab Rollins sharing some of their favorite venues, businesses, and hang outs throughout the downtown and Ironbound neighborhoods. The video personalized the experiences and highlighted the options for numerous full-day visits to Newark including Texiera’s Bakery, NJPAC, Prudential Center, Hobby’s Deli, and Catas.
