At the Consumer Electronics Show 2016 last week, Intel Corporation announced innovative technologies and collaborations aimed at integrating technology to deliver amazing experiences throughout daily life. Many of these innovations, ranging from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and wearables to new PCs and tablets, received an array of prestigious awards and recognition.

The demonstration happened during his keynote presentation at 2016 CES (Consumer Electronics Show) on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in Las Vegas. Krzanich showcased the Yuneec Typhoon H with Intel® RealSense™ Technology using Intel RealSense Technology and an Intel® Atom™ processor for collision-avoidance*. Intel’s leadership to integrate human-like senses into technology was recognized with various awards. Engadget, PC Magazine, The Verge and Videomaker named the Intel® Atom™ processor-powered Yuneec Typhoon H the best drone of CES 2016. With Intel® RealSense™ technology, the Yuneec Typhoon H is capable of collision avoidance, has a “follow-me” feature, and a 4K camera. CNET, Gizmodo and Reuters also included the drone in their best-of-CES lists.

PBS, Reuters and Wired included the Ninebot Segway robot in their best-of-CES roundups. Powered by the Intel Atom processor, the Ninebot Segway robot, which is also a personal transporter, uses Intel RealSense technology to navigate complex environments and intelligently interact with users.

In wearables, the DAQRI Smart Helmet with Intel RealSense technology and powered by an Intel® Core™ M processor was included in BGR’s best of CES write-up. Additionally, Engadget recognized the Empire EVS, based on Recon’s Snow2 heads-up display (HUD) technology, as the best wearable. Recon Instruments, an Intel company, enabled Empire Paintball to create a smart paintball mask that allows users to access live tactical information with a glance.

Other Intel products, Intel-powered innovations and amazing experiences recognized at CES 2016 include:

  • Compute Stick, powered by the 6th Generation Core M processor or the latest quad-core Atom processor, received the Editors’ Choice Award from USA Today’s Reviewed.com as well as Computer Shopper’s Best of CES.
