Prudential Center announced today that two-time Grammy Award-winning R&B star Maxwell will take the stage for the first time at the venue on Monday, February 15 as part of his return to the New York Metro area after a five-year hiatus. Add to that, Nas and Emeli Sande will join the singer as special guests for the evening’s performance.

The concert continues Prudential Center’s success with Hip Hop and R&B programming since the arena’s opening in 2007. Blige, Method Man, Puff Daddy, Raekwon, Rick Ross and Sean Paul.
Prudential Center has also welcomed Avant, Charlie Wilson, El Debarge, Jagged Edge, Jaheim, Kenny Lattimore, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, R. Kelly, Tank and Toni Braxton in the last year alone. Past Prudential Center performers in this genre have also included Alicia Keys, Akon, Estelle, Keri Hilson, Ne-Yo, Sade, T-Pain, Tina Turner and Usher.
Maxwell’s show at Prudential Center comes just weeks before the 20th anniversary of his genre-defining first album, Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite. His most recent album, the platinum-selling BLACKsummers’night, was released in 2009, debuted at #1 and earned him a pair of Grammys. Maxwell is putting the final touches on the second album in his trilogy, blackSUMMERS’night, planned for release in 2016.
