Veteran media professional and executive, entrepreneur and business mentor Alfred Edmond Jr., has been named Entrepreneur-In-Residence at 3rdSpace Cowork, adding to the array of resources and amenities available to members of the Newark-based, family-owned, community-focused, co-working space.

Alfred Edmond Jr., “The Successpert,” best known as an award-winning editor and executive at Black Enterprise, has accepted the role at 3rd Space, where he has taught his monthly Destination Success MasterClass on principles of entrepreneurship and wealth-creation since July of 2019. As entrepreneur-in-residence, he will be available as a source of business advice, mentorship and consultation to 3rd Space members.

New York Times best-selling author and veteran journalist Aliya S. King is also a 3rdSpace member and author-in-residence there where she hosts workshops, and master classes.

In addition, Edmond will launch a monthly live-event series at 3rd Space, The Successpert Conversation Series, featuring interviews with prominent entrepreneurs from the Newark area and beyond. The after-work series will launch on Thursday, September 19, 2019, featuring Randal Pinkett, Lawrence Hibbert, Jeffrey Robinson and Dallas Grundy, the founders of Newark-based BCT Partners, ranked among the nation’s largest black-owned businesses by Black Enterprise. BCT Partners, an IT security, solutions and consulting firm, is celebrating its 20thyear in business.

Also, as part of the series, Edmond will interview Smart Hustle Media and SmallBizTechnology.com Founder Ramon Ray (author of the new book Celebrity CEO) on October 10, and The EGAMI Group Co-Founders Michael and Teneshia J. Warner on November 17.

“I’ve spent more than three decades and counting interviewing and learning from America’s most successful entrepreneurs and wealth creators, and at least two of those decades as a mentor and advisor to many of the nation’s most dynamic young entrepreneurs and leaders,” Edmond says. “I launched my Destination Success series to make an ongoing contribution to the exciting emergence of Newark’s dynamic entrepreneurship eco-system. 3rd Space is the perfect home base for me to expand my contribution, while serving as a resource to the entrepreneurs who are invested in Newark as a great place to start and grow a business.”
