The National Association for Double Dutch Organizations (NADDO) made history by showcasing the sport of double dutch at the Paris Olympics. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit, headquartered in Newark, New Jersey, promotes competitive double dutch across the United States, supporting youth in achieving a healthy lifestyle, educational success, and personal growth through the sport.

Founder and President Mrs. Laila Little-Omosawe led a delegation of nine League ambassadors to Paris, including coaches from Jump Rope Athletics in Atlanta, the founder of Black Girl Jump in Chicago, two NADDO judges, and three talented athletes from Newark and Chicago. Little-Omosawe seized this opportunity to advocate for the inclusion of African American athletes in future Olympic competitions for double dutch.

Supported by Double Dutch France, the hosts of the jump rope events, NADDO’s team captivated thousands at La Concorde Urban Park with their distinctive double dutch routines.

“This was a historic and monumental moment for the sport, demonstrating its evolution and potential. We eagerly anticipate the day double dutch becomes an official Olympic event,” said Little-Omosawe.

Looking ahead, NADDO is gearing up for WinterBowl, its first competition of the season, set to take place in Atlanta, Georgia.
