From July 22 – 25, 2019, New Jersey Institute of Technology will welcome VOICE Summit 2019 — “the world’s largest voice tech conference.”

VOICE will be held for the second consecutive year at NJIT, drawing a roster of internationally recognized brands from around the world and nearly 5,000 attendees over the course of the four-day event interested in “reimagining how we interact with technology through voice.”

The event — organized by Modev, and supported by diamond sponsor Amazon Alexa and platinum partners, Voices.com and Microsoft — is scheduled to feature more than 350 speakers, 1,500 developers and 1,000 executives, and include representatives from global technology leaders and media companies such as Amazon Alexa, Viacom, Google, Microsoft, the New York Times and the BBC, among others.

“The VOICE Summit is attracting leaders from throughout the field of voice technology, which is rapidly changing how the entire world communicates,” said NJIT President Joel S. Bloom. “NJIT and the city of Newark are the perfect hosts for this event, because Newark has become a tech hub and NJIT is both a leading polytechnic university and a research powerhouse.”

“Last year, we established VOICE as the pre-eminent conference in the voice-first era, and this year we are taking it to a whole new level,” said Pete Erickson, organizer of the Voice Summit and founder of Modev. “Amazon and Microsoft have tripled their investment in this conference. … People are getting on board because they realize this is the voice-first era, and VOICE is the conference where things are going to happen in this space.”

Keynote speakers at the VOICE 2019 Conference who will appear at NJIT’s Wellness and Events Center July 23 will include: David Isbitski, chief technical evangelist for Amazon Alexa and NJIT alumnus ’98; Adam Cheyer, co-founder of Siri, Inc. and VP engineering at Viv Labs; and Noelle LaCharite, principal PM manager, Cortana, Microsoft.
