What do you get when you put DMX, Mobb Deep, EPMD, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, and Kid Capri together on one stage? I honestly don’t know. But you’re definitely going to get a number of the following:
Sweat. Sore throat. Increased heart rate. Possible soreness. Definite stories to tell the next day…or week…or month.
We’re talking about true MCs. Masters of Ceremony. And that is exactly what coming down the pike Saturday, April 4th at NJPAC. This isn’t simply a Hip-Hop concert. And this isn’t just an excuse to hang out in the parking lot taking pictures in front of someone else’s car (not that we’re judging). This is – as I said above – something that will be talked about long after. This will be the night you stood in the crowd, hands up, head bobbing, two-stepping to some of Hip-Hop’s timeless classics.
We’re talking about screaming all night, “Stop! Drop! Shut ’em down, open up shop!”
…and “You ain’t a crook son, you just a shook one!”
…and “Check, check, check, check out my, check out, check out my melody!”
…and “You gots to chill!”
…and “Ain’t…no…half…steppin’!”
…and of course, “La-Di-Da-Di, we like to party! We don’t cause trouble! We don’t bother nobody!”
And when you’re not screaming, you’ll have ample opportunity to shut up and dance to cuts by “the one and only Kiiiiiiiid Capri”.
