Electronic waste recycling helps prevent the release of hazardous substances into the environment and helps create opportunities to give old devices new life. Since 2014, Panasonic, along with its community partners, has managed to safely recycle more than 140,000 lbs. of electronic waste in Newark.
To help increase the amount of electronic waste that gets recycled, Panasonic is teaming up with The City of Newark, Covanta, and Urban Renewal Group Corp. to encourage Newark residents to recycle their unused electronics by bringing them to a free e-waste collection event this Thursday, September 19. There will be staff on hand to help unload and properly sort all collected e-waste.
The e-waste recycling event will be held at 462 Sandford Ave., Newark, NJ from 7:30a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
