Celebrating its 80th anniversary this season, the legendary Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) returns to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) for a one-night-only event on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Under the baton of the brilliant Vasily Petrenko, the ensemble will be joined by violin virtuoso Ray Chen.
Ray Chen, praised by The Washington Post as a musician who “can do pretty much anything he wants on the violin,” will take center stage as the soloist for Tchaikovsky’s blazing Violin Concerto. The program also features the bracing Second Symphony of Sibelius and Nielsen’s Helios Overture.
