Paint and sip studios are popping up everywhere. Art classes with a party vibe (wine or other beverages are usually included), the paint and sip concept has become wildly popular. You don’t have to be an artist at all, classes are meant to be a fun and relaxing time with friends.
Newark now has its own paint and sip studio located in the Lower Broadway neighborhood. The Painter’s Palette offers paint and sip parties and art classes for children and adults.
Celeste Banks owner and operator of the Painter’s Palette, hosted paint and sip parties in various locations around the city for a year, building up a strong following for her business. Banks, a fine arts professor at Essex County College turned to the Newark Community Economic Development Corporation (Newark CEDC) for help finding a permanent home for her growing business. Located in a cozy and rustic store front on 7th avenue in Newark, the Painter’s Palette is a new and interesting way to spend time with friends or make new ones.
The Painter’s Palette will celebrate their grand opening on Saturday January 14, 2017 from 12 noon – 10 pm.
