The 2021 Newark Bike Tour organizing team is once again partnering with various Newark groups, including the City of Newark, the Shani Baraka Women’s Resource Center (SBWRC), RBG Cyclist and the Essex County Surrogate’s Court. The ride this year will not only showcase the amazing beauty and dimension of Newark, but also bring attention to the urgent need to break the cycle of domestic violence.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, October 24 (rain date 10/31) and will show off the city’s varied parks and neighborhoods , while promoting biking as a fun, healthy and environmentally-friendly recreational activity.

This is a free event, however, if you are able to financially support and help defray the costs of the ride, donations in cash will be accepted at the event. Donations will pay off ride costs with excess donations going to support services provided by the SBWRC via the 501(c)3 fiscal agent Believe in Newark Foundation. Learn more about the SBWRC here and the Believe in Newark Foundation here.
