Trending with Scott Simon, a thought-provoking conversation series moderated by Scott Simon, the host of Weekend Edition Saturday on NPR, features Women Who Set the Agenda with Arianna Huffington at NJPAC, Tuesday, May 19th at 7pm.
Following the discussion, Huffington will sign copies of her book, Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom and Wonder, which will be distributed free to ticket holders.
Arianna Huffington is the Chair, President and Editor-in-Chief of The Huffington Post Media Group, a nationally syndicated columnist and the author of 14 books. She has been named to TIME magazine’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people and the Forbes Most Powerful Women list. The Huffington Post, one of the most recognizable media brands on the Internet, was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for national reporting in 2012.
Scott Simon is one of America’s most admired writers and broadcasters. He has reported from all 50 states, five continents and 10 wars. His books, which include Windy City, Pretty Birds and Home and Away: Memoir of a Fan, have chronicled characters in war and peace, tragedy and comedy, sports and art. His weekly show on NPR, Weekend Edition Saturday, has been called “the most literate, witty, moving, and just plain interesting news show on any dial” by The Washington Post. He has won every major award in broadcasting and has hosted many TV specials, such as PBS’ State of Mind and Need to Know. Simon is familiar to viewers in Great Britain as host of the BBC series Eyewitness and has appeared as a guest and commentator on that network, as well as NBC, CNN and ESPN.
