United Community Corporation (UCC) is calling on Greater Newark residents to help shape the future of local services by participating in the 2024 Community Needs Assessment. This vital initiative seeks to identify the challenges, service gaps, and emerging opportunities that impact the community, from access to housing and food security to youth programs and senior services.
As part of its mission to uplift and empower underserved individuals and families, UCC aims to tailor its programs and partnerships based on direct input from the community. The feedback gathered from this survey will guide UCC’s strategic planning and help direct resources where they are needed most.
“We are committed to creating impactful, responsive programs that serve the needs of our community,” said Craig Mainor, Executive Director of UCC. “The feedback we receive will play a crucial role in guiding our services and ensuring we continue to uplift individuals and families across the Greater Newark area.”
The 2024 Community Needs Assessment is part of UCC’s broader mission as a Community Action Agency (CAP), working to combat poverty and support low-income families in line with the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. This initiative empowers individuals to voice their concerns and needs, ensuring that UCC’s resources are aligned with the community’s top priorities.
“We encourage everyone in the Greater Newark community to take a few minutes to complete the survey,” Mainor added. “Your voice matters, and your insights will help shape the future of our programs and services.”
The survey is available online and takes just a few minutes to complete. All responses are confidential, and the data will directly influence UCC’s resource allocation and service development. Residents are also encouraged to share the survey link with their networks to ensure a broad range of perspectives.
