On the back of his first career loss, 19-year-old Vito Mielnicki Jr. picked up a statement win by way of a second-round knockout vs. Noah Kidd, Saturday night at Prudential Center.
Originally, the fight was slated as a rematch between Mielnicki and James Martin, who gave Mielnicki his first loss. “There were no issues with the change of opponent. I trained for a more technical fighter. Kidd was more awkward than Martin. We got the job done in front of my hometown fans, so I’m happy. I don’t need James Martin to be a superstar and to get to my multiple world titles. I’m looking forward now.”
