Art Faceoff Online Edition

– Monday, May 11, 2pm

Let the Newark Museum of Art share YOUR art! Create an original artwork based on a piece from the NMOA’s collection for the chance to be featured on their social media feeds.

This competition takes place twice a month and comes with a $75 prize for the winner. New challenge announced at 2pm. Tag your post with #ArtFaceoffNMOA to enter!

Online Drawing Course: Alternative Mark Making

May 12, May 15, May 19 and May 22, Noon – 1pm

Learn the basics of Life Drawing in a four-part online course. Participants will practice sketching, gesture, perspective, gradient, and composition to translate real objects and spaces onto paper with teaching artist: Esmeralda Vazquez. $45 Adults, $40 members, seniors and students

Science Pill Live: Chromatics: The Science of Color

Storytime Live: Harry and Horsie, by Katie Van Camp

An exciting story about a boy and his adventure in outer space to save his best friend. Led by Museum educator Alyse Petracca, Storytime is followed by a fun art-making activity: create your own cardboard tube rocket!
