On Saturday, November 19, 2022, BRICK Education Network and South Ward Promise Neighborhood will be hosting the fifth annual South Ward Gives Thanksgiving luncheon for Newark’s South Ward families.
The Thanksgiving Luncheon will feature Celebrity Chef Vonda McPherson, famed restaurateur known for hosting events and preparing soulful meals for celebrities, dignitaries, and hungry families after Sunday service. McPherson owns Vonda’s Kitchen, with the mission of bringing healthy, homemade comfort food to communities in Newark and beyond.
Meals will be prepared and served at the Bo Porter Sports Complex, located at 378 Lyons Avenue, Newark, NJ where families will be given a dine-in or take-out option.
The event is free to the public.
