On Wednesday, November 6, 2019, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and continuing until 7:00 p.m., Newarkers will participate in a day-long celebration of the Newark Museum’s new name and brand identity. The 110-year-old institution is updating its moniker as a tribute to its global art collection, ranking 12th among North America’s art museums.                                

The day includes free admission for all visitors, music and hands-on activities, along with a number of selfie stations contributing to a mosaic celebrating the day. The museum’s new café, slated to open in early 2020, will also be previewing delectable treats from its new menu.
