Schools That Can, that national non-profit organization dedicated to reimagining education through real-world learning by working with a cross-sector network of schools to empower leaders, develop teachers, and engage students, will host their annual, public conference here in Newark, bringing together top urban educators from Schools That Can – participating schools, innovative educational organizations, thought leaders, industry leaders, and the community.

“STC Newark is honored to be hosting the 14th Annual STC National Forum,” said Erin Sweeney, Executive Director of STC Newark. “It had been nearly 10 years since the Forum was last here and we can’t wait to share our wonderful city, schools, and community with teachers, school leaders, and partners from around the country. We also are incredibly proud that one of Newark’s school leaders, Maria Paradiso of Link Community Charter School, is a finalist for the RFK Urban Education Awards! We encourage everyone interested in best practices in K-12 education to register today to join us at the Forum – it will be an awesome two days of sharing, learning, celebrating, and having fun!”

The 14th Annual Schools That Can Forum will be hosted by STC Newark and will take place on April 30 – May 1, 2019. This year’s theme is “Advancing Culturally-Relevant Real-World Learning.” Forum attendees will be treated to two days of panels, interactive workshops and school study tours that highlight practices related to Real-World Learning. See the full agenda here.
