After closing its doors to non-members in the midst of COVID-19 related shutdowns, last March, Launch Pad Newark is reopening, eager to pick up and build upon the community focused events and programming initiatives that were at the center of their operations when they first opened. Yendor, a staple in the arts community for almost 20 years, will be leading the charge as the newly appointed Community Engagement Liaison.

Yendor will partner with Launch Pad Newark to delve into the mission and purpose of centering community voice in its coworking spaces, which also includes Nashville, TN and Stockton, CA. Yendor’s events and educational programming will feature a variety of upskilling, artist activation, and networking initiatives that are far reaching and serve to advance the welfare of the entrepreneurial and greater Newark community.

“From the early days of our partnership with Yendor, we realized that we both share a passion for building connections within the Newark community,” said Anne Driscoll, CEO of Launch Pad, “and now since the start of the Covid 19 pandemic, the importance of thoughtful community and support is more important than ever.”

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2021, Launch Pad will be hosting a series of events during November 8 – 12, 2021 centered around the theme, “#EverybodyWins: Advancing Economic Justice + Renewal”.

The team is still looking to work with community partners to host an event during this week. If you are interested in collaborating, please send them an email to newark@lp.co.
