Attention, Batman enthusiasts and music lovers alike! Witness the 1989 Batman movie come to life as the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra performs Danny Elfman’s electrifying score live. This unforgettable event will take place at NJPAC on Saturday, March 2nd, at 8pm.

Immerse yourself in the action of Tim Burton’s legendary film, rated PG-13, featuring Michael Keaton as Batman, Kim Basinger, Billy Dee Williams, and Jack Nicholson. Experience the film anew on a vast screen while the live symphonic performance underscores every thrilling moment.

Danny Elfman reportedly composed the Batman theme during a flight, repeatedly retreating to the bathroom to hum and record the melody so he wouldn’t forget it. Despite raising flight attendants’ eyebrows, he crafted what would become one of the most iconic superhero themes in cinematic history.

This event marks the beginning of a global celebration for the film’s 35th anniversary, brought to you by TCG Entertainment in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and DC. The “Batman” tour, part of the DC in Concert series, starts January 2024 in Los Angeles at the Dolby Theater, before moving through twelve U.S. cities and then on to Paris and London.

Since its release on June 23, 1989, “Batman” has captivated audiences worldwide, becoming the year’s top-grossing film and maintaining its popularity across generations. Not only was this film the first partnership between Danny Elfman and Tim Burton, but its Grammy-nominated score set a new standard for cinematic music.

While the event is a must-see for fans, please be aware that “Batman” carries a PG-13 rating and has a runtime of approximately two hours.
